Neil Hughes
was a founding partner of Hughes & Associates in
1997, with responsibility for the Dublin office of the
firm, having formerly worked in a medium sized firm.
He specialises in insolvency and corporate recovery
work. He has extensive experience of examinership matters
and has acted as examiner to companies in difficulty
on numerous occasions. He is the co-author of “Examinership
in Practice”. |

Kieran McCarthy
qualified as a member of the Institute of Certified
Public Accountants in 1995 and as a member of the Institute
of Taxation of Ireland in 1998. He worked in both industry
and practice for a number of years before moving in
2000 to work in Audit and Corporate Recovery with a
Big 4 firm in Dublin. In 2003, Kieran joined Hughes
& Associates as Manager of the Dublin office and
was appointed partner in 2004. |

Sean Burke
qualified in 1971 with a Big 4 firm. During his nine
year period there he worked at home and overseas in
several roles including Audit Manager and Group Manager.
In 1980 he resigned and entered into partnership with
Paddy Burns in F.G. Blake & Co Chartered Accountants.
He has also served 10 years on State Boards, namely
Bord na Mona and APSO.

Paddy Burns qualified
as a Chartered Accountant in 1972 with a Big 4 firm.
Shortly afterwards he joined F.G. Blake & Co., where
he became a partner within 12 months. Following the
retirement of his partner, Sean MacGoey in 1980 he entered
into partnership with Sean Burke. F.G. Blake & Co.
became known as Burke Burns Blake in 1997. |

Kevin Hughes qualified
with a Big 4 firm in Dublin in 1972. He then became
financial controller of a group of milling companies
in the Southeast. In 1977 he founded K.P. Hughes &
Co. Chartered Accountants. In 1980 the firm merged with
a local practice and became Hughes McClean Dowling &
Co. In 1997 he became a founding partner of Hughes &
Associates. |

Barry Heuston qualified
with a top 10 firm before setting up in practice in
Monkstown as BD Heuston & Co., which subsequently
became McGowan Heuston and finally Heuston Chartered
Accountants in partnership with his brother Peter. Heuston
Chartered Accountants merged with Hughes Blake at the
end of 2006.

David O'Neill qualified
with a big four firm in Dublin in 2003. David is a member
of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland
and has extensive experience in Audit and Assurance
gained in both Ireland and New Zealand.
